wish you were here, not quite.

So now I have to begin thinking about how i want the area of stonehouse to look in say 20 years time. Ideally I'd like to see a massive redevelopment that incorporates architectural brilliance, with masses of money invested, but this is perhaps a bit unrealistic, even though some regeneration is present. SO my idea.....

Due to the stonehouse area's extensive history it would be good to see that history incorporated into new aesthetically pleasing developments, combining both old and new. Union street should really be returned to its roots of a mass entertainment strip of either both theatre or nightclub orientated. But both have nearly vanished. Two huge clubs sit dormant on union street, one (The dance academy) with the owners serving a jail sentence and the other with a £1.2M asbestos problem. No sign of anything happening there then!

So really if anything with the current attitude of public and council stonehouse is going to continue to deteriorate, shame really but i think a clear message needs to be sent.

It seems like an easy idea, but im going to have a browse for some inspiration so with that said, i think a tea break is in order.
